At the end of last term we invited our senior students to build a Fairy House for our Enchanted Garden. The suggestions were that the houses were to be made primarily from wood, weather proof and constructed at home with the help of parents and family. Take a look at their fabulous creations…
Mt Carmel Students got into spirit of St Patrick’s Day by dressing up in Green and donating a gold coin for our Mufti Day to raise money for Caritas New Zealand.
Our Year 6 Students enjoyed their visit to MERC, The Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre, at Long Bay recently. Our Year 4 and 5 students each spent a day at Mairangi Bay Surf Lifesaving Club learning about Surf Safety with the lifeguards there. The students had lots of fun ‘saving’ each other using rescue tubes and on the boogie boards.

Last week the Whole School Cross Country was held in “changeable” weather conditions. Well done to everyone who took part and to the winning runners. Congratulations to St Francis who were the winning house.
The Junior School (Years 0-3) visited Motat recently as part of their Science Topic “A Place to Call Home”. The children enjoyed a fun-filled day of activities, including the opportunity to experience what school-life was like in the 1900s and a tram ride.
