2026 Tongan Language week

We started this morning with a beautiful assembly led by Tākahae Class, who helped us celebrate Tongan Language Week. This year's theme, "Ko 'etau hiva, ko e fe'unu mahu'inga ia ki he mo'ui 'a e Tonga" ("Our music is a vital strand of our Tongan culture"), highlights the important role music plays in preserving and strengthening Tongan identity and culture.

A huge thank you to Miss Latu and Mr ‘Aho, who have been working with the children throughout the term to prepare for this special event. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Mrs Latu, Miss Latu's grandmother, for her incredible support in helping create and organise the children's costumes. Your dedication and generosity helped make the celebration truly memorable.
