2025 Spotlight Tui Term 4

TUI 
During the Te Rongopai -Good News theme in RE, Tui class explored ancient stories from the Old Testament that Jesus would have learnt as a child.  These special stories show us how to be in good relationships with God, ourselves and other people.  One of the stories they studied was Joseph and His Brothers. Through this story, the students explored the concepts of peace, jealousy and hatred, and identified how these were shown in the story.  They also reflected on how they can show forgiveness themselves and make peace when encountering difficult situations in their lives today.  They are reminded that God is always there to support them.  To supplement their learning, each member of Tui class was given a scene from the story to illustrate using watercolour pencils.  Collectively, their pictures tell the story of Joseph and His Brothers for you to enjoy.
