2023 Wekas forgiveness and healing

In Religious Education, we have been talking about how people experience forgiveness and healing when they have hurt or been hurt.
We have discussed situations which cause hurt to people and how we can avoid this and why it is important to forgive and be forgiven.
We have discussed how when we show forgiveness and grace to others we help them to restore their tapu (self-dignity) and in doing this we can grow in holiness.
The best ways to grow in holiness are to fill our hearts with the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
The Weka children had heaps of fun planting their own sunflower seeds. We discussed the best way to look after their plant and what it
will need to grow. This was likened to ourselves. How can we grow in holiness and flourish with beautiful hearts?
