Cohort Entry Policy
Please note, after consultation with our community it has been decided Mt Carmel will adopt a Cohort Entry Policy from Term 1, 2018
Applying for 2017 Enrolment
Applications for 2017 will be considered on a case by case basis as and when they are received.
Applying for 2018 Enrolment
Applications for 2018 will remain open until the last day of September 2017. Applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application during October 2017. If you have been offered a place for your child we will ask you to confirm your acceptance or decline the place within 14 days of receiving the offer.
Applying for 2019 Enrolment
Applications for 2019 open in February 2018. Please contact us early in 2018 to request an Enrolment Pack.

Information for Parents of New Entrants
When your child has been accepted to enrol at Mt Carmel School you will be invited to attend a Parent Orientation Session and your child will also be offered a Child Orientation Session just before they are due to start school – we will write to you when the dates of these sessions have been confirmed. We do encourage you to attend the Parent Orientation Session as we find a lot of the questions we are asked are covered at this session. If you are unable to attend the session we recommend you have a read through our Parent Information Book to familiarise yourself with our routines and policies.
If your child is turning 5 during the school year we will write to you to confirm their start date as soon as it has been confirmed. Please note we are often unable to set a start date immediately upon confirmation of your child’s enrolment but we will let you know the date as soon as we can. Start dates are always on a Monday and are held on the first day of each term and midway through the term.
